Meet Mike Mestres

 

National Master Misael (Mike) Mestres has played, taught and promoted chess for many years with individual students and school groups. He came to the U.S. from Cuba as a teenager and now reaches out to support his current Georgia community.

 

Coach Mike developed hundreds of instructional videos for his former online enterprise, JustAddChess, and has graciously shared those with Championship Chess to put up on our site. Mike’s easy style and humor lets him take a complex subject and make the information fun and educational at all levels.
