Championship Chess: Smyrna (GA) Team

 

Renée Leathers has been a Chess Coach with Championship Chess and Smyrna Chess since 2000.

Ben Johnson been coaching chess since 2006 and is currently the First Vice President of Georgia Chess Association in charge of scholastic chess. 

 

 

Smyrna Chess is an independent division of Championship Chess run by Ben Johnson and Renée Leathers. Smyrna Chess offers chess clubs at schools in after or before school programs. Current activities include tournaments, free chess clubs, and private chess lessons for individuals, families, or small groups.

Smyrna Chess is open to providing instruction and chess supervision for your family, home school group, community or neighborhood group. Chess camps and parties are available.

Smyrna Chess works with the Georgia Chess Association to promote the game of chess throughout the state, especially for students.
